Las Vegas Already Building Momentum Toward the 2027 CFP National Championship
As Las Vegas prepares to host the 2027 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship, the Las Vegas Host Committee is already creating a lasting local impact by investing in educators and schools across the community.
The CFP Foundation and Clark County Public Schools have identified literacy support for K-12 students with dyslexia and other challenges as its primary focus. Through a program named 95 RAP, a total of $2,500,000 will be invested over a three-year period, with the CFP Foundation funding $750,000 of the program’s cost.
The partnership has also launched a teacher recognition initiative as part of the countdown to the 2027 national championship game. Through the program, 50 Las Vegas-area schools will each receive $5,000 in surprise DonorsChoose funding for school and classroom improvements, while one teacher at each school will be surprised with $1,000 to support their respective classroom. All awards will be provided through DonorsChoose gift cards.
The partnership plans to visit five schools per month, with activities scheduled throughout January, February, March, April, May, and later in the year as excitement builds toward the 2027 title game. December and January visits have already taken place, and additional dates are being finalized for February and beyond.
While the 2027 CFP National Championship will shine a national spotlight on college football in southern Nevada, the Las Vegas Host Committee’s early efforts reflect a commitment to leaving a meaningful legacy that will recognize educators and strengthen schools long before kickoff and long after.
