CFP Foundation’s Impact Grows Across Las Vegas Classrooms

With the 2027 CFP National Championship approaching, the CFP Foundation and Las Vegas Host Committee are already making a lasting impact across Clark County schools through classroom transformations, teacher recognition, and literacy support.

In September, William Lummis Elementary School unveiled a newly-transformed $50,000 library as the first of 15 planned makeovers across the Clark County School District (CCSD). The new space features updated furniture and a special book vending machine that allows students to earn books to keep and read at home. The celebration also featured a special appearance from John Archambault, co-author of the beloved children’s book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. 

Teacher recognition efforts are also in full swing. Representatives from the Las Vegas Host Committee visit schools nearly every week to surprise educators with $1,000 and principals with $5,000 for their schools. Over the next two years, the Las Vegas Host Committee and CFP Foundation will host recognition moments at at least 50 or more CCSD schools.

Meanwhile, Project RISE continues to provide reading intervention training for educators supporting K-12 students with dyslexia and other learning obstacles. The program extends the Foundation’s investment in Southern Nevada beyond classroom spaces and teacher recognition to long-term student literacy support. Students at all 374 Clark County schools will benefit from the funding and training that this partnership provides.
