CFP Foundation's Go Teach Program Inspires Future Educators in 12 Cities
Through its Go Teach initiative, the College Football Playoff Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of educators by supporting “Grow Your Own” teacher pipeline programs across the country.
This year, the CFP Foundation partnered with schools and districts in 12 cities to celebrate and encourage students pursuing careers in education. Events ranged from statewide signing days in Georgia to educator luncheons in New Orleans and end-of-year recognition ceremonies in Las Vegas, all designed to strengthen local teacher pipelines and inspire future educators.
In New Orleans, nearly 160 high school juniors and seniors participated in the Go Teach Grow Your Own Luncheon at Five-O-Fore Golf. Students heard from NOLA Public Schools Deputy Superintendent Dr. Jawan Brown-Alexander before they enjoyed an afternoon of golf and mentorship.
In the Houston area, more than 400 educators from the Alief Independent School District gathered to celebrate the teaching profession during a special appreciation luncheon hosted through the initiative.
