Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Surpasses $2 Million in Support for Student-Athletes
The CFP Foundation’s Go Teach program continues to play a critical role in addressing the nationwide teacher shortage by helping guide exceptional students toward meaningful careers in education. Student-athletes represent a particularly strong pipeline of future educators and coaches thanks to the leadership, discipline and mentorship skills they develop throughout their athletic careers, while also reflecting the diversity the CFP Foundation hopes to see in the future educator workforce. The initiative, which operates in addition to Dr Pepper’s longstanding Tuition Giveaway program, includes all FBS conferences, as well as the University of Notre Dame and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The 2025-26 edition of the Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway celebrated more than 100 student-athletes pursuing degrees and coursework to become teachers or coaches, each receiving $2,500 in tuition support. Nine grand-prize winners received an additional $10,000 in tuition funds. Since its inception six years ago, the program has supported over 600 student-athletes nationwide as they pursue careers in education with $2 million in tuition.
